Thame Builders Apprentice Named Finalist at Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2026. We are delighted to announce that Ky Cox, our Carpentry & Joinery Apprentice at Thame Builders, has been named a finalist in the Rising Star Award category at the 2026 Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards, happening next week in Oxford!
Ky, who joined us in September 2025 is currently training with ACE Training and Consultancy, has been recognised for his commitment, development, and outstanding progress within the trade.
The Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards celebrate the achievements of apprentices, employers, and training providers across the county, recognising excellence, dedication, and the positive impact apprenticeships have in developing future talent and strengthening local industries.
We are incredibly proud of Ky for this achievement and for the dedication, attitude, and professionalism he continues to show throughout his apprenticeship.
The awards ceremony will take place next week on Thursday 21 May 2026 at the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities, the University of Oxford’s new world-class centre for the arts and humanities.
This nomination reflects both Ky’s hard work and the strength of apprenticeship pathways in developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople within the construction industry. Winners will be announced on the night of the ceremony.
